Real-Life Musician Arnav Maggo Shines in Hai Junoon with Neil Nitin Mukesh & Jacqueline Fernandez

Mumbai, India — Rising star Arnav Maggo delivers a powerful performance in the musical drama Hai Junoon, currently streaming on Jio Hotstar. Starring alongside Bollywood’s Neil Nitin Mukesh and OTT debutante Jacqueline Fernandez, Arnav portrays Saransh, a passionate young singer in the band Supersonics from Anderson’s College.

What sets Arnav’s role apart is the perfect blend of fiction and reality — Saransh is a character close to his own heart. As a trained singer and musician in real life, Arnav seamlessly channels his personal experience into the emotionally layered role. “Saransh’s journey mirrored my own — a singer chasing his dream,” Arnav shares. “It felt like I was telling my own story on screen.”

Arnav’s musical depth enriches the show’s core, which revolves around an intense musical rivalry between two college bands: The Misfits and The Supersonics. The series features over 40 original songs, adding to the drama’s high-energy performances and emotional intensity.

Having previously made a mark with his debut in Neeraj Pandey’s The Freelancer and as the lead in Aloo Bhujia (a short film by Lakshmi Iyer, produced by Gul Panag), Arnav continues to expand his artistic footprint across film and music. He currently divides his time between Dubai, Delhi, and Mumbai.

Directed by Abhishek Sharma, Hai Junoon also marks the OTT debut of Jacqueline Fernandez. While Arnav and Jacqueline don’t share scenes in the series, he notes, “She’s incredibly kind — we met during the show’s promotions and she’s just as graceful in person.”
