India Cancels All Pakistani Visas Following Deadly Kashmir Attack by Militant Group
India has revoked all visas issued to Pakistani nationals in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 tourists, escalating diplomatic tensions.

In a strong step after a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian government has cancelled all visas given to Pakistani citizens. This move comes just days after 26 Indian tourists were killed in a brutal attack carried out by a terrorist group called The Resistance Front (TRF), which is linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, a well-known terror group based in Pakistan.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has clearly blamed the attack on cross-border terrorism supported by Pakistan. In a press statement, the MEA said, “We have strong proof that the attackers had help from across the border. Until Pakistan takes real action to stop these terror groups, there can be no talks or ties between our countries.”
The visa cancellation will affect many Pakistani nationals who were in India for different reasons — including students studying at Indian colleges, people receiving medical treatment, and professionals working in Indian companies. The government said it may still allow some emergency medical cases, but for now, all other visas stand cancelled.
This action is seen as a serious escalation in tensions between India and Pakistan. Experts say India wants to put pressure on Pakistan to shut down terror groups that operate from its land. India is also likely to speak to other countries and global organizations to take stronger action against terrorism coming from Pakistan.
This is not the first time India has taken a hard line against terrorism, but the large number of victims in the Pahalgam attack has made the country especially angry. The victims were tourists visiting the beautiful town, known for its mountains and religious sites. The attack has shocked the entire nation.
People across India have supported the government’s decision. Many say that it is time to take a firm stand. Families of the victims have demanded strong action against those responsible and want justice for their loved ones. Even leaders from different political parties, including the opposition, have supported the move, while calling for steps to prevent more violence.
As things stand, India and Pakistan are once again in a difficult spot. With no talks planned and rising tension, the situation is being watched closely by the international community. Many worry about what could happen next, but for now, India has made its position clear — no talks or cooperation with Pakistan until terrorism ends.
