India Clears ₹63,000 Crore Mega Deal to Buy 26 Rafale Marine Fighter Aircraft from France

India has cleared a major defense deal, acquiring 26 Rafale Marine fighter jets from France for a staggering ₹63,000 crore. This strategic move marks a significant step forward for the Indian Navy, bolstering its naval air power and enhancing its capabilities in the crucial Indian Ocean region.  

The Rafale Marine, a navalized version of the already-proven Rafale fighter jet, brings a range of advanced features to the Indian Navy's arsenal. Its twin-engine, canard delta wing configuration provides exceptional maneuverability and agility, critical for aerial combat and maritime operations. Equipped with state-of-the-art avionics, radar, and weaponry, the Rafale Marine is capable of carrying out a wide spectrum of missions, including air superiority, ground support, and reconnaissance.
